The Prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University is widely known for producing people with excellence in diverse sectors.

The University announced Professor Anthony Adegbulugbe, an illustrious alumnus of the University, as the pioneer recipient of its newly introduced Excellence in Research Practice Award.

The award was given to Professor Anthony Adegbulugbe based on his outstanding contribution to the society and the
energy sector in Nigeria in particular and globally.

The award ceremony was held in Oduduwa Hall of the University on 27th of June, 2023. The event was duly attended by notable and outstanding personnels across the nation, Professors, lecturers as well as students of the various faculties of the University.
